In reply to War Office letter, No. 917 of 22nd December 1867, I have the honor to enclose, for information of the Secretary of State for War, the proceedings of a Committee assembled to report on the "Venereal'da" lock Hospital at this Station with a view to providing for the prevention of Contagious diseases in accordance with the Ordinance No. 18 of 1867 for the prevention of Contagious diseases.
In concerting with the Naval Commander-in-Chief, it was considered expedient, in the interests of both the Army and Navy, that the Committee should be a combined one, with representatives of each.
